That is an incredible find.
I was thinking the same thing on the paint...except about ALL of the metallic colors.

I'd pay $20 just to ride around in it for a 1/2 hour.

I would strongly suggest that you accurately photo document as much of the car as you can and offer up the info to the Firebird restorers of the world. Very valuable information is contained in that car.

Congratulations on a great find!
Any chance you got the original "A" title with the car, being in Virginia? If so, I hope you had copies made before the filing for a new title.

Still got the original title, haven’t filed for a new one! Got my guy working on it right now. Here’s what I am doing: power disc brakes and brake lines, new shocks, vintage Rally II wheels and radial redline tires, period correct new carpet, factory replica dual exhaust, factory replica replacement speakers, cleaning underbody, cleaning and painting motor and engine bay, replacing plugs, points, belts, hoses, fluids. New period correct decals everywhere they were originally.

Man-o-man! That is too cool!
If I only did ONE of the things you have planned out, it would be the disc brakes!!!

That sounds like a good plan. As mentioned before, as-is pictures are invaluable to you and others. Below is a link to a 68 coupe that we did a few years ago, also adding power discs and a correct Gardner exhaust to top it off.

Keep posting as yours progresses.

My sentiments exactly. Looks like the right car found the right new owner for a killer price. Have fun with it.
