TH-400 Factory Calibration Chart
I'm trying to determine factory calibrations for various Turbo-400 automatic transmissions and am looking for a chart or document generated by GM, Hydra-matic, or one of the Divisions.
Pete McCarthy's original book contains such a chart for 1970 Pontiac that includes such information as transmission application code, torque converter stall speed (or stall ratio), valve body part number, separator plate part number, governor part number, and full-throttle up-shift speed (in RPM). Would anyone have such a document for other years or know of any reference that contains that type of information? |

A few months ago I researched this to death for My 68 Firebird. Bought a NOS governor and modulator. Was not cheap, but shifts exactly as I wanted. Trans has been redone by board member who did an Absolute Fantastic job some time ago. But never had the exact governor And modulator. There is a difference. Tried the governor kits but that was messy. Gerry
