Possible Interest in Trade: 69 L46 Corvette to Pontiac
A few years ago I traded my GTO of 30 years for this Corvette, I could be tempted to come back for a Pontiac.
I probably have 24K in this Corvette but of course I would never in my wildest dreams expect to get that out of it in trade or otherwise; just saying the money is there. The market for cars right now is a disaster so I don't even want to guess what a real value is. Cars I would be be most interested in 66-67 Sprint A body, 65-69 2DR Big Car, maybe and F, last thing of interest is another GTO. I'm not 100% sure but if someone starts talking it might push me over the edge. I know most here aren't interested in Corvettes but here might be your angle; Corvettes might be a little easier to sell out right than non GTO's. Not real sure if it's a true Corvette unless it has a BIG block
FYI I have no problem talking trade in the thread, PM's are fine too. If you have a car of lesser value; come up with other stuff to trade or cash, anything can be considered. For example the family might have fun this summer in a small boat at the lake or something like that. Bruce Meyer posted a 67 race car today that really tripped my trigger; I hadn't thought of something like that when I made my post, but after seeing Bruce's car I got really excited in that direction. I have the car listed on the Corvette Forum with no serious hits; and I have two PM exhcanges going here. No rush other than I am excited to try something new. |

WOW the tables have turned today.
Gone are my two discussions here on PY concerning Pontiacs; and in come three various serious Corvette trade considerations. I would prefer a Pontaic trade; if anyone is sitting back thinking about speak up please before I jump on one of these Vette trades. |

Wasn't the L46 a hydralic cammed 350 / 350 horse vs the 300 horse 350 & 370 horse Lt1

Yes, I think maybe cam, intake, carb were the main differences between the two.

Depends if you like playing in the turns; I drove a '73 454 and it was nose heavy, the 80 my ex had was a much better handler.

I have had both and can't tell one bit of difference in handling; but I can tell that the BIG Block trashes any small block any day in HP.

Steve checkout streetsideclassics on line. They are in Fort Worth and Atlanta . You consign the car to them and pay a little over $100. They keep it in their marvelous showroom and show it there and run ads and list on ebay for you. You and they set the price of what you want for the car and then they add on their part above your price. A buddy of mine in the Gtoaa club just sold his 65 GTO in 2 weeks and he was very happy with their service. They dont take projects which I know yours is not I put that in here for others.They pay all ebay fees take all the pics everything. They dont allow test drives until a contract is signed and then just a few blocks no high speed burnouts etc.
They are a class act I would highly recommend them and tell them a GTO guy sent you. |
