Default Motion One

Great story.

Have you seen this pic before?

Most people think it’s just a weird dragster that never went fast.
Here’s the very interesting story of Motion One and the men who built it.

Brian Lohnes loves Pontiacs and was particularly fond of the Boss Bird. So I am a little biased. But he seems to love to report on the unusual and underdog race cars. When we had the Boss Bird at the PRI show he put in print something like it was the coolest car in the show. Land speed racing is the only place a way out design like the Motion 1 would ever be allowed to run. No cookie cutter, belly button cars running for the ultimate prize. Guess that's why I really love it.

Ever been out there Mike?

2001 was the first time for me working with Stringfellow on the Gale Banks Pontiac TA.

George Poteet has destroyed the record the last 10 years.

Tom V.

Bruce Crower and the Landy Brothers were great people.

There were a lot of innovative people in the old days who raced at Bonneville.

Very interesting adaption of a dual engine race car.

I have not been to the salt. Bucket list item for sure. Thinking in the next 2-3 years. I know I would love it.

There still are. In all landspeed racing venues.

I like the '56 Deluxe Safari push car near the start of the video.
