Those are some cool pics man, I love it.

I've got a zillion late 50's thru the 60's with Pontiacs every where. The problem is they are all on 8MM film, so if I ever find a way to convert certain frames I will have all the pics anyone could ever imagine to see.

Our family had the Pontiac dealership in Muskogee, and the home films are loaded with awesome color photos. But the projector broke a few years ago, and now I can't even watch them. I tried cutting a few frames out and scanning, but it's damn hard and doesn't turn out so good. The other problem is finding the frames and cutting up the film, both bad.

Steve, you should be able to find a photo/video store in your area thar can convert those 8mm to DVD. We had a bunch of old home movies done.

Once they're on the DVD it should be pretty easy to pick out the images you want.

That sounds really cool, hope you get something figured out some day, would love to see some of those pic's! I know it's a Pontiac site but could not resist posting a few of these other pic's too. Thought everyone could get a kick out of seeing some of these.

Now for some really old ones.

#1 First car, 1954 Studebaker Commander picture made on way home from El Paso. (Somewhere between Ft Stockton and San Antonio)

#2 Same rock, 16 years later with my GTO brand new, 1 week old. Had to see how it handled the wide open spaces.

Footnote: I think those are some Ford hubcaps I had. Yuck.

Default Old Pictures

Here are a couple shots of my dad's cars.

Picture # 1 is my Dads 65 Royal Bobcat Post GTO in 67 in Califorina. My mom is on the hood. Car was sold in 69 and went to TN where a kid beat the hell out of it so we assume it is gone up to GTO Heaven!!!!!

Picture # 2 is my Dads 69 Crystal Judge down in Florida in 1970. Dad still ownes the Judge with only 45,000 miles on it. It is waiting for a full frame off restoration.

Thumbs up

All my folks ever drove were GP's, Bonne's and Grand Villes.

Oh well, at least they were Pontiacs!

Keep those pics coming!

That will be quite a challenge. Dad didn't believe in taking prints, he took 35MM slides and Super 8 movies. Dunno if he even took any of the cars either.

Our first Poncho was Mom's 63 GP. They then bought two '67 Bonnevilles, two '70 Bonnevilles, and the last Poncho we had was Dad's Adriatic Blue '72 Grand Ville. He bought that one just as I got my driver's license, and lemme tell you - they built those cars VERY well, LOL!
