Default Pontiac Forged 4" stroke 3" main 2.20" journal cranks in stock

I am happy to announce that the Pontiac cranks I talked Tom Molnar into making for us last year are now in stock. I just paid the balance on mine and it will ship to me tomorrow. I'll gladly share pictures when I get it. The cranks are designed for internal balance so we can use our readily available Pontiac balancers and flex plates.

Molnar Technologies, they are NOT on their webpage at this time...

I was on Molnar’s website last night. The 6.625/2.200 rods are showing.

Might want to be careful. That thing falls over on that stone countertop and your wife will not be happy.
Nice crank BTW.

The crank is tucked back into its crib...I mean box.

This crank is designed for stock length rod? OR you decide based on the piston?

Curious about this also….what rod and piston combo are you planning to run with the 2.20 rod journal?

There isn't a single current Pontiac forging made that's not forged in China. It's the machining and qc that makes the difference from one company vs anither

Molnar does offer a stock 6.625 length .980 pin rod on a 2.20 BBC journal (Pontiac is 2.25) to use this crank with off the shelf Pontiac pistons. I imagine many/most will use BBC 6.7 or 6.8 rods and semi-custom pistons.

I'm going to run the Molnar 6.625 2.20 journal bastard rods to make a 421 out of a late 60's 400 block I have.

DSS has a piston that will make this work. When I build my “421” I’m going with their 4.094 bore 4032 piston.

At least that is what Tom Molnar told me.

FWIW..... I'm a fan of Molnar, but just to be clear Eagle and Scat have been dealing with the same folks in China for many years. We've used all three manufacturers cranks in multiple 1200 HP plus applications and never had an issue with any of the of three mentioned above.
