Anything that was on empgmc.com/race I basically lost unless that server comes back online, don't know if it will.

One PHS that was on there: Tropical Lime, black, black, Auto VIN # 242671P110472

Anyone have a good copy of that?

I can only get Google cached of the empgmc stuff and it's bad quality.

John

Why do you have one listed as Silver?

Quote:
1971 Conv Judge P101929 YE THM 400 3.55? Nordic Silver Black White
The color on that PHS is L1 and I can't quite read the color on the other listed as Tropical because of poor quality. Can't find anything to reference that code to color.

Good question?

I changed it.

I'll try and send you the PHS on the other one.

BTW, Steve, all I get on the PHS/pic links on your site are error messages?
(on the newer links, not empgmc links)

Yep
that's the same section i have .

Next time i'm on a high speed connection i'll check out your revised page Steve.

Do you have more than 9 confirmed known cars now ?
More than 8 Invoices ?

The partial build sheet i have for Gary's former car is from the box artwork of the die cast model that was done after Milt restored the car. (Gold)
It isn't very useful/legible.

Gary should get a couple of the Gold die-cast cars ,
and have 1 painted lt.blue metallic for old times sake.

Seems like i inverted the colors on the build sheet and used a magnifying glass - it is authentic - not generic .

Just saw this on Facebook....

Heard before it existed but wasn't on the great Steve Hoog list?

"So similar and so different... Especially in value. Two Pontiacs in Finland. One is a 1971 GTO Judge Convertible (one of 17 made) owned by the hockey legend Teemu Selanne. The other one is a 1970 Tempest ht coupe owned by me... (one of about 20000 made) "

Here is all I got so far...

The Finnish registration system has the folliwing info about the car (no info about the transmission etc. even there are fields for it in the database, they were empty for this car):
Vehicle class: car
Registration in Finland: 1996-07-01
Vehicle classification: historical vehicle
Use: Private
First registration: 1970 (the car is 1971 model year, built and taken into use in late 1970)
Color: yellow (they don’t have a code for gold, the funny thing that my Tempest with the same color is listed as “brown (beige)”…)
Body style: open cab
Seats: 5
Own Weight: 1670 kg
Total weight by manufacturer: 2390 kg
Total weight allowed on road: 2070 kg
Width: 2010 mm
Fuel: gasoline
Engine size: 6550 cm³ (400 cid)
Make: Pontiac
Model: 2D GTO JUDGE CONVERTIBLE

Here was a response with vin...missing the year?

"They have a place for the VIN in the database (they have published it as open data), but the field was empty on this car, unfortunately. But as the owner is the retired NHL hockey legend Teemu Selanne, who is a known high profile classic car collector and has several cars in Finland and in the USA, I'm pretty certain this is the real deal and not a replica or a clone. The car is very rarely seen, as Teemu lives in California and is only rarely visiting Finland, and even more rarely using the car here, so the car mostly is in storage somewhere. I have been a fan of GTO's for a long time and haven't seen the car in person, even this photo was taken by a friend. Hmm. actually I DO have the VIN of the car... it's 24267P116246. Can you see something special from it?"

Mike, hopefully your contact on FB can take a closer look at the car sometime in the future. Details of the VIN, cowl tag, engine, & frame ID code & frame date will tell a bundle.

The above pic looks a lot closer to '70 Granada Gold than it does the really dark amber '71 "Aztec Gold". Being 46 years old, its most likely been repainted at least once. Have parted two Granada Gold '70 GTO's & they are night & day a lighter color than Aztec.
