Default 70-73 rear quater filler panel , with pics.

This formula, one of mine , got hit in RR quarter and most the damage was right at the corner below the bumper. Also has some damage all the way to wheel well. Back in the 70's it was drilled, pulled, holes left and " cave and paved". Since the topic of " filler panel's " has come up again thought I would show the AMD part listed for CAMARO 70 - 81 on. .. " our cars" . This is the LOWER filler panel. I never see pics posted so since I'm trying to button this up before other winter stuff, I thought I would show how it fits. Tried to rotate last pic, but anyway, this part is an exact fit, with proper original contours. I have used this before but figured I would show it since I'm in this deep.

Default Nice photos

Yup.....just what my car looked like over the summer same damage. Its amazing to me that you can find that piece but no one makes the tail panel to quarter filler piece for 70-73.

You mean the upper one, yeah, its curved and probably not many sold alone to use as a template. I have sold many sets cut off cars, but not separated.
The parts we do have are ok, but not plug and play for sure.

I bought a pair of them long ago along with a pair of NOS quarters. It would be very hard to make a drawing of these due to the compound curves.

yes i purchased mine from firebird central . It said they were for "71-73" firebirds .When i got them the label said Camaro. very disappointed .Anyways i ended up buying a shrinker and a stretcher and made them fit the best i could . No one will see them so i did not worry to much about them not being correct

i think with your expertise you will do it . The curve to match the lower quarter is fairly easy . It is the area that attaches to the lower brace is were i had to use a hammer and dolly to kind of get it to fit . I will try to post what i did

The " upper " filler panel. For example, sold long ago.

I was going to just use a small lower section of the tail panel since mine was crunched in the very corner. Since it is dented bad, caved and paved.. I opted to cut it out.
Gotta love California cars.. no rust and primer still looks good !

poncho-mike,

Do you still have on of the original filler panels? I want to attempt to reproduce these. I need a NOS one to 3D scan to make dies. I would return the original untouched. Only need 1 as I can mirrior the 3D scans.

Thanks,
Stan

Goodmark is in the process of making these right now. Should be available within the next 3-6 months, maybe sooner. Either I or chris eagle will will get the first set since he donated them. Possibly will need someone to trial fit them.
