A fantastic new addition to the fleet John.

Like I said in the past, these cars find you. Good luck with it and I bet it will be happy with all its new friends.

Got the car today, no surprises which is always a good thing with sight unseen purchases. Those awful visor-vent thingies on the tops of the doors are already in the scrap metal bin! As expected, the turbo mufflers with no tailpipes are awful sounding beyond belief, resonance nightmare in the car. A call to Waldron is first order of business (luckily the factory hanger specific to the wagon is still there). No dual exhaust was available on the A body wagons (gas tank leaves no room on left side) so I'll stick to the factory style single. Car is absolutely rust free and the interior is very original down to the carpets and factory gold (not repro'd) mats. Dashpad, door panels, headliner and seat upholstery are in great original condition, but the hard plastic panels are awol or a mess (kick panels, B pillar trim and front of rear tub covering). Something about that gold color dye that rendered the plastic biodegradable. I'm going to install stock black rims with factory custom wheelcovers and 215/75-14 thin white walls (picture from another car), I like those wheelcovers, sort of a "poor man's Rally II".

I think ww tires and discs will look great on it.
As for exhaust, my old '69 El Camino had duals, but both pipes exited behind the ps rear wheel opening. Like Pontiac splitters but not angled down. You see it on some older Chevy trucks.

The A body wagons had a lot of option restrictions compared to the other A body bodystyles: no Sprint engine, no 350 HO engine, no dual exhaust, power antenna.

Apparently it still works. But I’ve given up on keeping AC working. Too many cars and too few days you need it around here

Man, I like it, congrats!!!

I hope Jim Hand sees this thread!!!

A stock single exhaust sure won't hurt the performance of this car any!!!

Wish you were closer, you'd have AC working in your cars!!!
