transmission mount weight
I have a 1969 Firebird Convertible Sprint with a 4sp trans. It has a heavy weight bolted to the transmission mount. Is this only on the 6cyl cars or sprints? My 69 400 4sp. doesn't have the weight. what is it for?
Thank you, Tom |

It a damper for the harmonics or natural frequency that the Sprint engine gives off. It came on all Sprint/sticks and some Sprint/autos.
