I have a question concerning my front brake rotors on my 74 T/A. Each rotor has a groove perfectly placed in the center of the rotor. It looks to good to be worn by bad pads. The shape of the groove V-shaped as well. Is this an early attempt by Pontiac for vented rotors or are they just bad?

some rotors had a groove machined in them from the manufacturer. possibly it was a crude wear indicator? mike
