On John Welter's car, what is the tank up on the passenger side firewall? It it a burp-tank for the radiator next to it? (If that even is a radiator) Almost looks like a line runs from that tank down to the oil vent recovery tank out front??

I hope the car in post 5 has something to cover the inlets, to keep the turbo from sucking in soccer balls.

Tom-

Can the turbos actually pull air from that area of the hood at speed?

What I am asking is, is there a more efficient location to pull air from?

The hood location does a really good job for collecting air for the turbos as the turbos need minimum restriction on the inlet side for best performance. It is like drawing out of a very large room with a vacuum cleaner hose.

If you put a scoop on the inlets or screens you would disrupt the clean airflow to the compressor wheels.

The two smaller lines from the radiator on the right side of John Welters car went to the engine. The large line from the collection tank is not hooked to the radiator. Two different sized lines if you look closely.

Interesting, so pressurized air on the turbine is a bad thing.
