Default BOP Intake....MIA

My intake was last seen at Modern Cylinder Head in Clinton Township, MI...I have tried all normal avenues to retrieve it (for the past 6 months)....Jeff will not return my emails or calls....I sent my intake 2 years ago to have it ported to match my heads....I got my heads back but no intake....frustrating. I am running a Tiger intake now but wanted to compare with the BOP.....plus it is MY intake.

If anyone knows Jeff at Modern, or is ever close to his shop and can get my intake I will gladly pay you for your troubles/expenses....if it is untouched I still want it back.

I saw this forum and thought I'd give it a try.....cheaper than a plane ticket!!

Thanks, John

Quality of work was excellent.....customer service has left a bit to be desired....oh well, live and learn.

PN, I live 2 hrs north of where modern cylinder head is located, but the guy I bought my 1967 GTO from 5 years ago lives about two miles from this place. Let me know if you haven't recieved your intake yet, as I haven't seen a recent post, and I will contact Vic and see if he might know this guy. I still keep in touch with him and I think Vic has lived in the Utica and shelby twp area all his life, and it's just a few miles away from clinton twp. Look forward to hearing from you, hope I can help.

Thanks goquick and gomowgto....sorry I didn't monitor this more closely....Still no intake...I will hopefully see a good customer of his this Friday at the track here in MD...I'll see what he thinks is best course of action and get back in touch....I would suspect your friend Vic knows of him if not know him personally....he stays in touch with some Pontiac guys from what I understand...even George Delorean ...but I don't have George's email

I really appreciate all of the offers to help...John

John,

Keep me posted on this. I have your original invoice shipping to them in Dec 2008. If you strike out call me and maybe I can help or we can work something out.

Angry Modern Cylinder Head

Was going through some old receipts...and found one for my BOP intake....I still have had no luck getting my BOP intake back from Jeff at Modern..has anyone heard if he is still in business?

I originally heard (last year) that his health was poor, so I backed off figuring it was a lost cause....but then I saw something in the National Dragster last month with him driving his Hemi car this fall....so I am thinking if he is out racing his car he must be somewhat ok???? or healthy enough to email me, at least tell me to go screw??....also found the owner of the Jacobs' old Plymouth on the bullet and he was going to try and help...still nothing.

Anybody having any travels near Clinton Township, MI and can grab the intake I will cover your expenses....may even give you the intake, as it is probably on another car at this point......

Thanks, John

I know a couple very large black gentlemen that are good with swinging pipe wrenches.

Default Thanks!!!

Mike,

If you are ever in the area, that would be great if you could just stop in to see Jeff, I understand he had some health issues, but is also out racing his car... I have struck out contacting him on Yb, even though I saw he commented on some pontiac head stuff....oh well, not sure what I did to piss him off...I guess paying my bill, picking up my stuff, and not complaining about waiting for two years must have done it......

If you can grab it that would be great, you can send it to me freight collect or just hold if you are going to Norwalk...either way thanks for any help you can give me.

Jack,

I am not sure we are ready for the "pipe wrench" visit...... they would probably charge me more than the intake is worth....

Thanks, John

I've tried a couple times now. "Jeff" is pretty hard to get a hold of. I drive by a couple times a week and I'll keep trying. Mike
