Wow, this new twin turbo build is going to be one to watch.

What are your plans for the chassis & suspension BrandX ? That much horsepressure is hard to make hook

Honestly I have been hoping that with the added power management of boost, that everything would be alright. It was 60 footing 1.19-1.20 on nitrous and the 10.5 tires, so I'm thinking it will be ok especially with the bigger tires. I've learned along the way that chassis and suspension isnt as crucial as power management. We have made alot of real junk cars go very fast just learning how to apply the power.

I dont know if i agree with your statment. Power mangment helps but you need to have the chassis set up correctly too. I know with Jr's car changeing for 1200 Hp N20 to over 2k blown had to make a bunch of little changes to get car to react and stay straight. Getting off the line didnt have much trouble it was down track as the boost ramped up would blow tires off or pull front end back up which inturn car would get loose. and even with my gto going from 10s to 9's i ended up changing rear springs on the coil overs cause the weight transfered quicker. When you start getting to high HP numbers i think both are important on making the car run its best and be a safe Ride.

Managing the power at launch and throughout the run could work. However chassis refinement combined with power management would work better.

I'm sure you'll get it sorted just the way you want it. Sounds like a bullet going together here.

I can say this about my car. I ran low 7s in the 1/8th mile, then eventually 5.13 with the exact same qa1 street front coil over conversion and strange single adjustable coil overs. Obviously I had to change the knob settings a bit over the years, but all in all it's the same old stuff. Could it go faster with better stuff, maybe...but where the weight is, and engine placement made more difference than anything. My car always ended up tied all the way down in the front and shocks as tight as they could go, and the rear was pretty tight as well. It's a ladder bar car, so it usually likes to hook hard.

We will see I guess, but I have a feeling I can get it figured out.

Funny we have the Qa1 coilovers front and strange rear with ladder bars. Worked with 10.5ws and now radials. 1.18 60. Good luck on the build!

Hahahahahaha trust me brotha, I have always been die hard nitrous to the core. But my car isn't no 100% track car, and i want to drive my **** to the track. And as fast as I am wanting to go, the Pontiac and nitrous just wasn't an option.

It was either ditch the Pontiac for a big chebby and stay nitrous and not really be able to drive it alot.....or twin turbo this thing and all of a sudden the Pontiac makes total sense hahaha. So I get to keep going faster AND be more streetable AND keep an INDIAN between the fenders. It was hard to ditch nitrous, but now that it's gone I'm actuallly relieved.

No more barrels of spark plugs
No C23 fuel
No 900+ lift
All off shelf engine parts
No filling 8 bottles for one track outing
No need to pull my car around the pits behind the golf cart
Etc etc etc

I ain't looking back (except to see where y'all are at) hahahaha.

He could modify an AC system to chill the water tank instead of the cockpit! Might still want ice at his level but would slow the melt process. However water at ambient is still pretty effective.

The Keen's used to have a "Truck Bed" ice chest that would take a bag of ice sideways in the chest. They used to hit the Gas Stations before heading to the track. Would fill that suck up every day.

They would use 3 bags of ice EVERY run. We tried to have the water flow thru the inter-cooler system just so that at the end of the run all of the ice would be just melted but the water would still be cold.

You will have a hard time "keeping up" with your Restaurant Ice Maker (in my opinion) unless you have really long waits between passes. JMO

Sweet!

I remember that feeling with the new pile of parts. Seems like every year now.
