And the stamping will largely disappear during blasting and repainting, what value then?

Blasting desirable steel wheels with coarse sand like river sand is a NO NO. Besides being too abrasive near the two letter code & date codes, there are the thin nearly sharp lines that extend up the face of the 5 spokes. Having blasted expensive wheels, got to be very careful.

IMHO, the above JW would be beyond a labor of love to restore, & that was if its purchase price was near free. Dipping to Derust, professionally welding up, then very careful grinding, & turning on a lathe. That above done, will have to carefully bodyworked.
