Default ANYONE KNOW MUCH ABOUT 93 CAMARO PACE CARS

I have been trying to find out how many of the 93 Camaro pace cars were built without T-tops. I cant seem to find any numbers on them.

164 is what I found. www.compnine.com should tell you. It used to be free but you have to pay now. Use the rpo codes B5A for pace car and CC1/DE4 for t-tops.

Lots of those replica pace cars were built. Only around 100 or so actually did any track duties. Non t-top had to be less for sure. Somewhere at home I have this information.

actually they made very few of them compared to other years. I haven't checked lately (the new body style models) but they were the 2nd rarest Camaro pace car behind the 67. they made either 633 or 645 depending on what chart you look at.
so out of that number I have been trying to find the non t-top number and keep finding sites that say all of them were t-top cars. which is wrong info.

How so? I see an awful lot of them for sale with a lot of miles on them.

Only thing bad about the LT1 is the water pump weeps onto the optispark. Easy prevention is to thread in a brass barb with a 8" length of hose to route the coolant away. GM's cost reduced optisparks aren't as good as their originals. I've had over 30 LT1 powered cars and only 1 has had to have the optispark replaced at around 210K miles. The 93 will have to have an eprom burned for the pcm if you do any tuning. It's not a flash memeory like 94+. It will also have a non-vented optispark for 93 and 94. The best year to own in my opinion is the 95. It's still obd1 and emission exempt where I live. The obd1 tuning software is unlicensed and can be bought for under $200. Also great diagnostic software can be bought for under $100. The LT1 f-bodies are a real bargin right now. They're too new to be collector cars and the prices have really dropped with most wanting the LS powered cars. Nice 6 speed manual cars that are fun drivers can be bought for under $5K. I don't like the cheap door panels and the huge plastic dashes that are prone to cracking in the sun. Also the leather seats seam to be worn out on alot of the cars.

The only good thing here is there are still more Pontiacs here than there are Chevrolets.
