Jaguar 4L80E
I might be able to grab a pair for Jaguar 4L80E's for relatively cheap, just wondering if they are worth it. I'd be interested in them to use them for parts. I have an early chevy 4l80E here that will need a rebuild.
Google tells me most of the hard parts would be the same, just curious if anyone has any experience with them. thanks,

They are very similar inside. The bellhousing, torque converter, output shaft and some internal rear seals are the only big things that come to mind. If you have the chevrolet case, converter, and output shaft ( sounds like you do), you should be able to harvest what you need. That being said, unless you had a catastrophic failure of your chevrolet unit, you shouldn't need many, if any hard parts.
This also assumes you are using similar year cases. There are changes throughout the years that cause problems mixing parts without thorough research.
