Mario65 - The stance and look you want
Hey Mario65,
In post #45 you said, "FirebirdMI thanks for your work and time on this. I know we all are going to get alot of it. I really hope it works for you. I have been rediculously patient. I am getting the bug again. I dont want to spend 4k on wheels and tires if I think I can get a Rally II look to work. Heres my current stance and look: http://transams.net/MariosCollection...rd_400.html#16 Heres the stance I and look I want. I would much rather have a Rally II wheel do it than aftermarket wheels. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...p/DSC_0125.jpg Do you happen to know what those wheels/tire size are? I too like that look very much. Any ideas. Just wondering. |

Sorry I didn't get back, Just saw the post. "17x8 4-7/8 backspace on front and 17x11 5-1/2 backspace on rear. 245/45/17 and 315/35/17 bfg KDs . DSE mini tubbed All DSE front end, coil over relocation, koni's, DSE UCA/LCA etc. Back is DSE 3" drop leaf w/offset shackle, so basically its lowered 3". No problem with front rubbing, I could pick it up another 1/2 inch but I like the stance."

Also can I get away with running 255's up front and 275's out back. The suspension is pretty much stock, but I plan on changing that after I get an idea of what I can do and still fit the tires.

I think I am just gonna bite the bullet.
275/40/17 Drag radials on the back 245/40/17 on the front Worst case they'll stick out a little

If you want the approx same size on the front and back, it would be 245/45/17 front.

to anyone who is running these now, I got mine and it looks like I need longer studs. I'm afraid the lug nuts don't have enough thread to bite on.

if you still feel like that's not going to work you can get ET style loves that will help. I have used them with half inch spacers

I'm going to see if the ET lugs will work. Other wise I'll just put new studs in.

69 gto rubbing with the new year ones
I just got my new year one rally 2s
I used the same bfgoodwrench kdw nt 275/40/17 tires. The rears are fine , but the fronts rub on the front and back of the fender . Any suggestions would be awesome. |

I just put mine on the car. I have Nitto 555's with 255/45-17 on the front and 285/40-17 on the back. That gives me a 25.94 inch tall tire both front and back. The lug nuts do not inhale the studs anywhere near enough. I going to switch the studs for longer ones because I don't think a set of ET lug nuts would fit. I'll post a picture of them on the car later.
