68 Lemans no brake lights
I have verified the following:
12v on both sides of "STOP" fuse 12 v on both sides of brake switch. Switch is working fine. turn signals work both sides running lights work both sides Cannot get brake lamps to turn on at all The car has had a bum turn signal switch for decades. I have to hold down the turn signal lever, it does not hold itself in place or switch off when the wheel is turned. When looking at a troubleshooting procedure in the manual, I see "defective directional signal switch" and "improperly adjusted switch". I believe this is the next place I need to go. I seem to remember the 68 non-tilt turn signal switch to be an oddball and no replacements available as of a long time ago. I'm now seeing some switches available on e-rape... Where does a guy go from here? thanks

Just checked the wire harness at the steering column. I have power at the dark green wire, but yellow shows no voltage. Looks like it might be time to look at the signal switch...

Check to make sure the 4 way flasher switch is in the off (pulled out) position. I have seen some in the past that had the switch pushed in and the 4 way flasher was removed resulting in no brake lights. HTH
