Default No Headlights

No headlights on my 66 Goat. I had a problem with my tail lights and signal lights. I was taking a lawn chair out of the trunk and unknowingly disconnected the wires that come out over the tire well on the driver's side of the trunk. While checking out the problem I also pulled the headlight switch out to check the wires on it.

Now I've got the tail lights and signal lights working again but I have no headlights. Is there a fuseable link somewhere that could be the problem. I don't think there's a fuse for headlights in the fuse box. I didn't see anything that said there was a fuse for headlights. Maybe the switch is shot?

If not the dimmer switch then the circuit breaker internal to the headlight switch has opened up. Normally the headlights and all other lighting are on two separate circuits operated by one switch.
Time to break out the voltmeter

Since they worked prior to removing the headlight switch, I'd focus on whether the terminal block was inserted fully and that a connector didn't back out of the plastic block. Look for the blue wire going into the terminal at the light switch which is the the third one from dashboard going forwards and towards the washer switch. This blue wire feeds the dimmer switch. Power to the light switch is a red wire on the emergency brake side of switch that feeds positions two and three from dashboard.

Low beams and high beams?

Worked on a few cars that had both left and right low beam filaments go out at the same time.

Just because

I've been busy and didn't have time to check things out. This past Saturday I worked on it for a couple of hours.

I changed out the dimmer switch, and that wasn't it.

I found a wire going into the wiring block that looked really bad. Fixed and still no lights.

Pulled the wiring block and all the connections to the switch look good. I have another switch I'll try tomorrow seeing I'm not working. And I'll check my T-3s to see if they have blown filaments.

Also found a couple of YouTube videos to check out the switch for power.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sorry I never got back to this. I put the car away last Fall and didn't get a chance to check it out. Tomorrow, May 22nd, will be the first time this year it'll be out. I'm taking a volt meter with me to a cruise night and will play around to see what's up. At least it will still be daylight on the way home. I'll pull the headlights and see they're still good.

I'm wondering if there's an in line fuse that could be the problem. Light switch checks out to be ok.... so far.

Well, I now need a new battery. Tried to get the Goat started to take it to our Cruise this afternoon. I put it on the charger for over an hour... no go. Tried to jump start it with the Jeep... no go. I'll have it tested and replaced if it really bit the dust. More after I get this sorted out.
