No updates yet. Been pretty busy with the usual spring/early summer chores and trying to get a '38 Ford up and going. Between those things and the fact that the truck runs like a champ when not pulling a load for a distance(which I only do once or twice a year) I just haven't done much with it.

AOD transmissions don't have torque converter clutch, it's shaft operated.

Still fighting this darn thing when I put some miles on. It has gotten slowly worse. Now it does this whenever I put a lot of miles on. When it is doing this garbage and I remove the fuel cap you can hear the pressure change significantly... sometimes the fuel vapor coming out even makes the side of the truck wet. FYI I checked it with a couple different fuel caps and that had no bearing on things. I have replaced almost all the cheap/easy parts that have been suggested to me with no real improvement. I replaced the throttle position sensor, the MAP sensor, the fuel pressure regulator and I block the EGR. FYI, I did each of these separately so as to determine if any individual part was the problem. Pretty sure vapor lock is an issue. Now, I just need to determine if that is a symptom or the cause of my troubles.
The only things I can think of that haven't been replaced are the fuel filter or fuel pump. I suppose it could possibly be the valve for switching tanks? I don't ever switch tanks, but maybe it could still cause a problem with the flow of fuel?
