Default 1968 firebird backup light switch for muncie

Hi all, went to get my new bird inspected and noticed no backup lights. No switch installed, no wiring. Think i know what I need, but my issue is mounting the switch on the muncie. I cant find the bracket holes to mount it. I know its not original to the car, the ssn has been ground off so i can't figure out what model it is. Anyone mount a 68 switch on a non 68 (probably) muncie? I see on the shifter bracket the push arm is supposed to go in. Attached is a pic, any ideas on how to do this?

There is a bracket that bolts to the trans cover using the cover bolts. Then switch get mounted to the bracket.
pic of bracket and little rod for reverse lever to switch. Google muncie reverse switch. Might have another picture, will look tomorrow.

another easy route to fix this is to add the Hurst switch setup (if you've got a newer comp + shifter on it) this bracket goes under the stop bolt on the back of the shifter body and your reverse lever contacts the switch when in reverse. used these for years in place of the missing back lock linkages on the 69+ 4 spd conversions I've had that were missing all the time. If you've still got the original shifter that doesn't have the stop bolts, you'd have to drill and tap it to mount the bracket.
