Default 68-72 Safe-T-Track with 2.93 or 3.08

Looking for a complete posi rear diff, bolt-in preferred. I’m in Central CA so could pick it up just about anywhere in California. We could discuss shipping options too. Thanks, Will

Auburn does make a new posi diff for that series if you have a clean good open 2.93 3.08 3.23 ...

Still looking. Also would consider 2.93, 3.08 or 3.23 non-posi complete differential.

I have a 1971 3.08 posi (code BE) from a GP with a 4-pin posi. Same rear for an A-body except it has a 4-pin posi rather than a 2-pin. I'm in NH so shipping would be expensive.

That sounds nice AG, unfortunately completely on the other side of the country from you. Gives me hope there may be one closer.

Thanks for the reply 63 Longtop, will keep it in mind but just checked summit and a posi unit for this is close to $700.

It's a shame you're on the opposite side of the country. I have a couple of 2.93 heavy duty limited slip axles out of 1969 and 1970 Grand Prixs. I like finding limited slips in GPs because I am pretty sure every one I've seen has been a 4-pinion posi. I know the 3.23 limited slips have been 4-pinion, whereas the GTO versions were 2-pinion.

Hey Poncho Mike,
Would you be willing to sell one of those 2.93 ring and pinion and 4 pinion posi assemblies? I’m sure it weighs close to 50 pounds but I can get a pretty good deal on shipping and source a BOP 8.2 housing and axles more local to me. Understandable if you don’t want to cannabalize your set-up. Thanks for responding to the want-ad. I tried sending you a PM but your box is full.

Mr. G, 2.73s are a little too tall but thank you.
