which would be the correct heater delete plate for 65 gto firewall. 2 pieces or 1 piece

2 pieces. Ames used to have the right one but it showed only for 68-72.

There was a local company in the Detroit area who used to have the Heater Delete parts.
Sherman and Associates. They still carry the correct parts (made by Auto Metal Direct) now https://www.carid.com/auto-metal-dir...mpn-w-808.html $107.00 I have had a Heater Delete set of parts from Sherman for about 20 years. 64 GTO Scott Tiemann did the Heater removal and the prep of the delete parts many years ago. thanks guys. a lot of confusing information out there. my car has so few options i figure lets get rid of that one too. curious what would of been done with the defrost duct openings

I blocked them off (along with the speaker opening) with a thick black cardboard that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
