650 HP stock block pump gas Pontiacs that live a long happy life have been around for some time now.
Not sure why getting 50 more reliable HP is a huge hurdle.

I’m thinking 700 hp is ok for a stock block with the right pieces the only problem is staying at that ho level......hence the reason for a better block.

Acually it was between 120-130.
I was doing it by myself. Holding the tool in the hole tight and cranking
the key to at the same time.I'll get my buddy over and have him help
me and be more acturate (Bad Spelling) Sorry. I'll post again soon.

120-130 seems to be low for that compression.

The fact that you ran on the weekends did not say much, George. Still trying to discredit Martys Program.
We are talking Jet Pilot Money vs you showing up at the track on a week-end. You are a funny guy.
Same deal with the Keens renting Bradenton's Track in Florida. You still are a long ways from being in Marty's
5 second club. Or having a car like Palbykin's or Chief's GTO

Tom V.
Rent the track....NOPE......when I went to the track it was for Competition (I hate making "no Reason" timed runs, I worked it out in my timed runs for ELIMITATIONS! LOL!
Marty never ran a 5 in a Pontiac....only 2 cars have done that KRE and Boss Bird!
I did run 9 teens in my stock factory block (and i mean STOCK FACTORY BLOCK) it had 740 HP and finally gave out racing at St Thomas Drag Strip! It broke a main cap and messed up my crank, so thats why i always say keep HP levels to 700 when using a stock factory block.
its not worth the damage a broken block can cause to everything else (crank, rods, pistons, heads etc.)! An aftermarket block is cheap insurance in the long run! My experience not someone else's!

Partially true,HE DID RUN A 5 IN A PONTIAC. So you are wrong there.
He did it with a Brad Anderson Engine. Not a Pontiac Engine.
So post the right info George. Your posts typically are never accurate.
Close at times but still wrong.

And the KRE Dragster is not a Pontiac. The Boss Bird is the only one that
can claim a "Pontiac" looking Vehicle, with a Pontiac based engine.

Our old 400 block lasted 3 years at 1600 hp.
Can it be done yes. At the time we had no choice. Tom Vaught was intimately familiar with our operation.
The Pontiac bull**** continues to amaze me.

I only talk about Pontiac powered cars...........Chevys or others in a Pontiac is a waste of a Pontiac bodied! Pontiac power........this is a Pontiac web sit! Boss Bird is a Pontiac engine just like Chiefs car, KRE.....Butlers...etc., Brad Anderson is not.
If you want to argue start another thread......Thank You!

I am only going by YOUR EXACT POSTED WORDS: "Marty never ran a 5 in a Pontiac...."

Now if you had posted "Marty never ran a 5 in a Pontiac with a Pontiac Engine" I would agree with you. But that is not what your words say. It would be the same as the footer you used to have that claimed you were the fastest Pontiac in Michigan (and there were a couple of other PONTIAC ENGINE RACERS who were faster and never called you on it).

If you follow your own suggestions maybe I would not call you on the False info.
But the deal is there is FALSE Info being posted on the different sites and now Marty has set the record straight, and everyone knows the other guy was full of CHIT.

An EXCELLENT compression ratio for boosted engines making high horsepower.

I think mines kinda low but could be the camshaft......it does run 7.90’s with only 12 lbs of boosts...........LOL!

Yeah its probably because i have small duration with different cam timing.
Nothing wrong with 120 psi cp ...

I am thinking of changing the heads for next year. Going from 330cfm to 380 cfm and of course a cam change. Need peak hp to be around 6500rpm. Right now I am running 12-1 comp with 72 cc heads. Looking at 80cc to drop comp 1 point.
The short block is factory, filled to the water pump holes, billet 4 bolt mains, forged 4.21 crank, lifter bore brace, crower rods and 60 over ross pistons.

Goal is to run what I am running now but on pump gas. 10.00/133 at 3400lbs in the heat of summer.
Just curious if you are going ahead with this plan?
Personally i think it's a very doable plan.

A well done combination of parts can do it. None of the numbers in this simulations output are out of the ordinary.

Going to finish the rest of the year with what I have. Will be changing over the winter. We will see what Kauffman recommends.

Actually with a blower an alcohol I probably should have more compression in my opinion but it’s not a big deal.
