Default Front Power disc brakes 67 Catalina

Need some help to locate and purchase a front power disc brake conversion kit for my 67 Catalina Wagon with 15” wheels. I called Summit, Jebs, and others but no one can help. Does anyone on this forum know or give me a lead?. I currently have power drum brakes in the car but it just don’t stop very well.

Thank you
Peter

You have two options. First is a swap from a 69 or 70 full size. I believe you will need everything from the spindles out. Parts are available but expensive.

The second and more popular option is a kit from Scarebird. The latest kit uses Dodge Sprinter rotors. I forgot the other "updated" parts, but he will be able to give you a list of what to buy to put it all together. I am using an older Scarebird kit on a 67 Grand Prix and it works well.

The power drums on my '67 Bonneville wagon stopped that car pretty well. Of course the 4 piston disk brakes on my '67 GP are better, but you may want to look into why yours are not working well before diving into the swap. Just a thought.

Perhaps call "The Right Stuff" in Ohio, I installed one of their non power drum to power front disc and was very pleased. I purchased through AMES and it was dropped shipped from "The Right Stuff".

Scarebird.com.
Stock spindles are the same for disc and drum brakes,
