Default 71-81 rear axle snubber/bump stop

Are there reproductions of these.?

I believe they were used on ALL Firebirds and Cameros in these years.

I have the metal brackets...just looking for replacement rubber...

Don't really want urethane on this project...

The one I am referring to bolts to the outboard side of rear frame arch with three 3/8" bolts...

The rubber bumper portion has a stud which bolts to said bracket.

The 1970 is different and has the molded rubber "pushed" through a slit in the metal shelf bracket.
The 71 and up, the rubber bump stop is actually Bolted to the metal shelf bracket.
Both look similar and function same.
I believe that Ames still has new GM '71 and up bumpers.
the bracket isnt reproduced that I know of.
I am sure Lady TATA has some used for sale.

That's the one alright...

I can't believe that nobody has repoped that yet...11 model years...ALL F-cars...

For the amount of these cars I've dismantled in the past 20 or so years.....I figure I should have a banana box full of them somewhere..

I will contact TaTa....if I don't locate some here...

So, I believe the part(s) Hornet is looking for:

Corvette used 483746, so it is most certainly reproduced.

Related is the center pinion nose bumper GM 481834 for 1970-74 and 525419 for 1975-81.

Thanks....for everybodys input....

I had checked ebay and my Classic Industries catalog...prior to posting...but found nothing...

However....if you give me a part #...I'm dangerous...

Just snagged a pair of NOS gm on ebay...for $40.00.

Seller claims they are for a corvette....so I hope they can keep up with my TA..

FWIW....Classic...Summit...OER...and the Parts Place all offer repops for less than $25/00/ea.

Found these in my 70 TA parts stash yesterday,.......It was just like Christmas morning when you were 5...

They came in the trunk of a real clean 70 I bought about 15 years ago...

Muffler shops around here sold a TON of load leveler shocks to people that had opted for the cheaper muffler replacement..(dual turbo's in front of rear axle)...back in the day...and were too cheap to buy air shocks...or replace springs..

Staggered rear shocks required removal of at lease one of the bump stops for clearance.

I think you will be hard pressed to find nicer originals......

I tossed the in a bucket of water overnight to soak...and gave them a 2 minute scrub...

Nothing like VIRGIN 50 year old US made steel...

Judging from the red oxide on the back.....these were installed before the dip tank (Norwood build)...and guessing that the rubbers were installed on the line....

Note the manufacturers stamp....and factory Granada gold paint....with a touch of undercoating..
