camshaft too big?
Going from a hyd roller to solid roller. Camshaft i had was 260/263 on a 110 ls 570 lift. Solid I have is 272/272 ls 106 lift is 720 . Is this to much cam for 4500 stall converter 370 gears and weights 3600 pounds. current cam with 3700 stall goes 10.65 at 125mph. Bracket car wont rev past 6500 has unported high port heads 12 to 1 compression . Thanks Rod

Single pattern, tight ls, 272 int dur is not exactly small for a 455 or stroker. 3.70 gears, 4500 stall, heavy. I would find a better cam. Match could be better.
If you are going to do it do it right. |
