What tranny and rear are you running? Perfect look on the rear wheel/tire. That's how I like the tire to fit the rear wheel on a drag car. What size wheel/tire did you go with?

That blacked-out grille looks absolutely FANTASTIC! I'm going round and round about how I might make a similar mod to my red LeMans, but I'm afraid it might only look good with dark colors (black, blue, ...) If you have more pictures - especially of the underhood and chassis setup, you should post 'em.

I have 2 gilles for my 62, both are far from being show quality. I am going to try to get most of the dents out of the worst one and try a red-out front on my car.

I had some time on my hands, so I found my old grille in the "why am I keeping this pile". Used my body hammer and steel, alittle body filler and matching red paint and DaDaa! What do you guys think, new red or old stock chrome one?

Thanks TempestFugit, the other grille is in much better condition and fits better. The red grille, from 5 feet looks good (OK) but any closer you can see the all the dents and bents. I have been planning to do a repaint in the near future and will most likely have the grille painted then.

Jay I personaly like the chrome on these cars. Maybe instead of the blacked out areas those could be red? Or maybe just leave the 4 grill sections chrome? This is jmo as this is your car and you are free to do anything you want to it. Well unless you start talking a Chevy under the hood. Pat

68Prix, I too like the chrome on the front. I just think it is too much chrome. I really like the looks of the 61 Tempest front, I have even look into putting a 61 front clip on it. Not too worry about a chevy under the hood. What i would like to do is copy MT 62 SS/D Tempest (tri-power 4cly 3 speed) ran low 13's in 62.

Greg, the car looks great. Did you put the 4spd in it?

I recently installed a NOS 3-spd. transmission in my car and now I have the differential out and apart for a rebiuld. I wish it were a 4-spd! Greg
