PNA on Pontiac Invoice sheet from PHS
I was just looking over the PHS information. Does the PNA have any meaning or any use to the car?
Thanks Jim |

To someone probably.
The 'P' is for Pontiac, a 'Z' could be there for a Zone dealer 'N' is the plant the car is made at, here it is Norwood 'A' is for the type of financing the dealer/company did, usually when an individual ordered it. There are a few other letters instead of 'A' that could be used.

Here is what I've put together about the third letter in the invoice prefix:
A = sale to a dealer who uses GMAC to finance his inventory B = sale to a dealer who has his own bank financing C = sold as a company car to a GM employee E = perhaps diplomatic service, always seem to be billed to NYC K = GM overseas sales office N = Pontiac retail store (not sure exactly what this was) T = Sold to GM assembly division for testing or engineering purposes
