1970 GTO Judge
I have had this car since 1997 and I’m the 5th owner (I have all the previous owners' information). The car had a full restoration, mostly completed by 2000 that included everything from a complete drive train rebuild, paint, interior, etc. This is NOT a tribute car but an actual Judge; there are very few items on the car that have not been gone through! I have every receipt spent on the car showing what has been done and what parts or vendors were used (will go with the car). In addition, I have all the specifications for the car from carb, cam, and heads to the ignition curve mapping. The car runs extremely well using all factory parts and needs nothing. I do not have to sell this car so please only ask questions if you are serious about purchasing. It’s a great car, a blast to drive, and very rare when you understand the car was only offered for 3 years with low production numbers!
Heads = #12 / JO29 Exhaust Manifolds – Factory Ram Air Exhaust manifolds that were sent out for extrude honing. The remaining exhaust systems deviates from the original style exhaust and uses mandrel-bent Flowmaster 50 series mufflers and pipes. Transmission – M20 4 speed. The car has Muncie super case and cast-iron mid-plate. This is a reproduction case that is much stronger than the original case and I put this in due to its strength and to preserve the original case. I have the original case and gear set which will go with the car however I didn’t want them damaged, so I pulled them. The Hurst shifter was just sent to Hurst for a new rebuild and all the shift rods were related to original specs. Ram Clutch with a steel flywheel and balanced driveshaft Block = YC (not original block) – Nothing special on the bottom end just standard Pontiac crank, rods, etc. The car has always used high-quality Amsoil oil with extra zinc. Oil pressure is 20 psi @ idle and 50-60 running down the road. Camshaft = Ultradyne Hydraulic 223/231 & 468/485 lift @ .050, 106CL, lobe separation 112, .045 seat Intake = 9799068 Carb = 7040270 (dialed in perfectly and responds instantly. Carb completely gone through, replated, etc.) Distributor – MH electronic breakerless ignition hides underneath the factory cap in order to use the original wiring harness. The distributor was sent Jim Hand and he dialed in the curve for my setup. I have all the specs/mapping. Plugs wires are reproduction date coded Rear end – freshly rebuilt original 10 bolt with new Yukon Carrier (I have an original carrier which was rebuilt in 2003 and is still in great shape however I replaced it with the Yukon Carrier since the originals are getting hard to find and I wanted to preserve it) Original gears were 3:55 however the replacement set is 3:73 Interior – during restoration all the seat covers and foam were replaced, the carpet replaced and the original AM/FM radio & speakers were sent out for full restoration. The dash was sent to Just Dashes in California for a complete redo and all the bezels on the dashboard were re-chromed. Factory interior other than a couple of under-dash gauges to monitor engine health. Tires/Rim – 14 x 7 Firestone Wide Ovals from Coker Tire. I also have a set of BFG radials on Crager rims that I typically have on the car to preserve the wide ovals plus the radials ride SO much better than the bias-ply tires. Suspension – Recently put on new Delco shocks and proper ride-height rear springs when I had the rear end out. All A-arm bushings and rear-end bushings were replaced during the original rebuild. Drum brakes all the way around however I used brakes from “Muscle Car Brakes” and while they are still drum brakes, they stop like disc brakes! Body – The car was an original Granada Gold and was repainted in 2000. The car received 2 rear quarters, outer wheel wells, and a trunk pan at that time with some fresh orbit orange skin! The car has a new windshield since the old one had too much pitting for my liking. The front Endura bumper has the standard cracking these bumpers are renowned for. The rear bumper is in great shape and was re-chromed during the restoration. The car has been to the track a few times and ran a best of 13.31 with the pizza cutter tires. Bid to win and don't ask questions unless you are a serious buyer. Price is set @ $85,000 New Hampton, IA. 50569 Text # 641-229-6030 More Pics on ebay (see link)https://www.ebay.com/itm/204432113827
