1972 firebird tach harness question
just wondering what the bottom connector would be used for

is that the distributor side connector?
for 1972-1974 you could have a Unitized distributor I believe the wire on the unitized distributor looks like it might connect to that. (IIRC the tach lead was separate from the rest of the engine harness, so it could accidentally be installed backwards.)

It acts as a jumper to add additional ignition circuits. (Pink is usually ignition power)
