Here's one from "Po Boy Racing"! LOL Darn near stock bottom end real Pontiac 400 too!
Engine combo in Signiture W/ an ICE brand plate style kit. I bought the kit used for $100 3-5 years ago. IIRC The date on the bottle is maybe 1985? lol I'm still working out the jetting stagger, but it does work. Hoping to widdle the ET/MPH down to 10.99 by the end of Summer. Building a new stronger engine for next season may.may not use the nitrous on it. JD ***Add 100 shot to 3.70 setup: Calc. DA 2028' 11.66 @116.33 1.71 60'

Good luck to the new owner of the Ventura II! Sold the car after 13+ years. Look for it on the Hot Rod Power Tour in the future as it's currently being re-configured as a Pro-Touring ride! Last edited by 71 Ventura II; 06-12-2010 at 10:19 AM. |

Test and tune prior to the Saturday Night Nitro event at Famoso. No. 7 hole out the entire pass (checking into an intermittent points box issue)

Great job, Vince. It inspires me to keep at it with my Tempest. Too many irons in the fire!

Because this is how the car was configured at that Pontiac Heaven/Nostalgic Show-n-Go event…note that the car was run as an altered - no funny car body.

King of the stock blocks IMO... until recently Vin was also running an N crank from a 400 too... with RPM over 8500 and Nitro. Truly impressive... Most calculators show power at these weights well in excess of Vins stated power numbers.
I applaud him for taking the path few would follow! |

ET? Many ten-second full-pulls...
Yeah, it's only for 300 feet- but haulin' 14,000 pounds of transfer sled! MPH? Too bad tire speed doesn't count for much- about 110 in this photo, 123 with the hemi.
