Default blower cam/ heads combo

i bought this solid roller blower cam a few years back when i was going to put an 871 on my 455,, it was originaly made for a procharger set up. what are your guys opinion on it? i can either run it on a stock block 400 based 434 with some sd 310 eheads with 96cc blower chambers, or transfer the majority of those parts to the new am block 4"strokex4.350 bore.. seams like it might be small for 475 + but a lil big for the 434..

i i guess im just not sure if thecam/heads/blower is gonna put me high enough in the hp range to need the new block and maybe i should just keep the blown 434 as a thing and start fresh with the new block being the start.

I dont claim to be a cam or blower expert, but I like it. When I asked about cams a while back this one seems to fit the narrative.

It's a good cam it doesn't have a lot of overlap so it will work good with
A lower compression motor, as with the lower overlap it won't bleed off
A lot of compression.

How much power are you trying to make? Will this be driven on the street?

IMHO, that is a LOT of intake duration. I've got more experience with LS cams, and usually HR's. But some of those put over 1,000hp to the wheels, with less than 240 @ 0.050 for the intake duration. I know comparing solid to hydraulic durations is sketchy, but your cam looks like it is for a race-only motor trying to make 1500+.

when i made this post i was gonna abandon my 434 build with an 871, but ive kinda decided i want to see that one out an just clean slate with the new ia2 block. which i would keep this cam with. i have 96c eheads from sd that i want to use with this cam and victor efi and a 505 assembly. my plan is a procharger and im hoping for 12-1300 hp.

ive kinda throttled back my stock block 871 hp goals.

i have a v3 ls6 that makes 650hp to the tire at 11psi stock shortblock....im hoping with better parts and more cubes doubling that number with the pontiac is doable
