Default 68 GTO back up light wiring

Hey guys I cant seem to find my back up light wiring, can any one tell me where that plug comes from. Wiring diagrams are unclear of location. 68 GTO conv 4spd .Thx

I believe it is on the top of the steering column, a green and pink with black stripe wire. It plugs into a switch.

Pre column lock years, 68 and older, nomally had the switch in the transmisson.
So wires should be coming out of the harness in the firewall area so they can go down to the transmission. Need to check the transmission for a place to plug the wires in. Switch screws in the transmission and not for sure on this but seems like it was in the shifter plate.

68 tech section might be a better place to ask.
