Dave - my conv. is very tight, flashes to about 3100 on motor and about 4000 on hose 175 - 225 shot (I still have very few hose passes to work with and I still have not used the transbrake) I really think off the brake it would add about 500. It is set up to be at 4700ish off brake and hose - just haven't got around to using the brake or wiring the hose to it. The guy that knows everything in the world about these black metal donuts is Walker at Coan - give him a call if you like 765-456-3957. He is great at answering questions and there is no better unit on the market unless you can afford a N. Chance bolt together.

I really wish I knew more about plugs, plug gap, octane etc etc! I couldn't read a plug with crib notes! I know a -10 plug and 116 gas are wrong for an 11.7 to 1 motor on a 90degree day and 67% humidity - but I don't know what is right! And carb jets - what the hell are they for? Still so scared of that carb I have never changed a jet in a year and a half. I have to be the worst mechanic since cooter did work on Boss Hogg's Caddy!

Tech at the Clash for Cheap Street is NO PROBLEM! I really think you would have a great time. The races are unbelievable and the track is without question as good as anywhere.

I am not running until then, I have the ethics protion of the Bar Exam this Friday and a host of other things keeping me busy. Also just learned that the fiancee's car is a total loss, so I will also be car shopping.

Mark and I will have to come take a trip to LA with you someday, you know we love to travel!
Hope to See you in Seguin. It is an easy road trip from Houston - go 110Miles past Sealy on IH10 and you are 200ft from the gate.

Well that is everything I know about everything, Dave if you decide to go to the Clash give me a call - 214-724-6144.

Dave

Dave I ran multiple 10.90s with no bar(11.50 is cut off) at Sequin and they didn't look.Just head out I-10. nice easy drive pulling a trailer, better than through downtown on I-10. Let me know when you all are going! It's 2hours 15 minutes from Katy.

J.C. - there are very few cars in all motor class. One reason is that two of the fastest all motor cars run in the class. The S.A.M. malibu that has run 8.80 and the Protech 5.0 Stang that has gone 8.90 with a 10billion rpm sb ford. This seriously limits the class, but would be really easy to qualify for and with a bit of luck might even catch a check.
Hope to see ya there.

If anyone from the southern Louisiana area can make it; Dave(torqjunki) will be at "No Problem" raceway Saturday nite.
He has run his best times on this track.
From what he says, the surface is very well prepared, which yields killer 60' times.
Going for 9's on motor!
good luck dave!

I have only a 6-point cage in my TA and have been able to get away with running 9's in Cheap Street at the Clash.
Also for anyone interested the Street Challenge classes at the Clash are great and they have 10, 11 and 12-second brackets to run in and it's the same heads up racing on a pro tree.
Check it out:

J.C. the winner of Cheap Street has to sit one out - every other class gets to contend with the last Winner -
Good luck in LA Dave!
And if anyone has not been to the clash - MAKE IT, the show is that good and every car has a place to run, the trip is worth it alone to see Steve's car run as hard as it does and look as good as it does!

Dave- No car this time around at the upcoming Clash, the 450 spun a rod bearing. I look forward to visiting though and will be with the group from Punisher Automotive.
