Default Digital Gauges

Anyone install digital gauges in their 70 model A bodies? What brand did you install? Any issues I should be aware of? Thanks, Roger

I have installed Dakota Digital VHX gauges in 5 different A bodies. I highly recommend them ! Fairly straight forward install with comprehensive instructions. Any questions PM me.

Not to hijack, but the dakota digital RTX gauges look great, unfortunately not made for 70 yet. I've been emailing them the past couple years to inquire and they've said not enuf interest to make the for 70-72 yet. So maybe if enuf of us contact them...

Dakota lists '70-'72 gauge package. I was going to go with Dakota for my Bird, but they are 4 months out and they wanted an additional $400 to eliminate the tach. I want a hood tach and I like console gauges. So I'm fabricating Autometer, which is more fun for me and costs less.

They have the VHX for 70-72, but not the RTX style, which have a more vintage look.

I installed the VHX set in my '69 GTO recently. I would have gone for the RTX if they made it. Before I purchased it I called Dakota and asked if they had any plans to make the RTX set for the '69 and they said no. However, the black VHX set doesn't stand out as not being original with a quick glance so I really like that.
