True if it's in show condition but I wouldn't ask and if it's a driver-wheel that's fine too. Just trying to keep the faith in the Pontiac world. I believe it's 99.99% good but damn that .01% is rough.

FWIW, we just had a '64 sport wheel sold today, right here on our forum.

Imagine that lawless minded individual working on the wheel and he notices a red laser dot getting steady on his upper body. Not saying being shot over a theft is ok but sitting in a jail cell for an appropriate amount of time might give you opportunity to reevaluate.

Ad was posted on 6/25/21 and posted as sold today.

Not OMT’s stolen wheel, which by the way was not original to his GTO.

Didn't say it was B-man.

Around 1970 -72, my dad used to pocket the marble shift knob from his Model A at Long Island shows. Have heard years ago of Pontiac walnut knobs getting pinched.

A few more pictures of an excellent one that I purchased here on the forums for those who might not be familiar with how they look. The horn button and emblem are reproductions produced by a staunch ‘64 wood wheel enthusiast.

This makes me so damn mad. If someone tried to steal anything off my rusty 69 GTO and I caught them, game over!!!

I remember being in salvage yard back in the 70s,64 GTO convertible, very rusty with gauges and badly weathered wood wheel. I've been a victim in my rented garage years ago. Does not feel good!

Valuable and rare items people might consider stamping a number, or engraving something in the back side.

Yea, took my rare 69 Sprint to a backyard Poncho party. The jokers took my Walnut knob and put it on the Keg Tap. Fits you know. I went from scared, to confused, momentary denial, to reality, THEN a buddy said check the keg....that was funny for a brief moment. .went from embarrased, to angry, then a wee flattered.

Got the same design Knob on my 68 GTO now.

Was in a Washington NJ junkyard in the late 90s with a former PY member, just paid the $2 and we're standing around getting ready to search the yard. About 20' away I spy a 68 Wood Wheel on top a pile in a dumpster. Had the cast ring and centercap. No idea how i recognized it. $5.

THAT wheel is on my 68 GTO now.

Just two years ago, had a guy try to walk away with about $40 worth of tech manuals I had for sale on a table. I had my back turned when he came by, and a friend pointed him out. I caught up to him. "I thought these were free."

I asked him, "what's red and bad for your teeth? A brick."

(borrowed that one from a friend of mine)

When I was about 11 years old, the son of one of my Mom's friends bought the GTO I own today. I remember him driving it with a what I guess was a lucite Bud tap handle on the shifter. So yes, I knew the threads matched a beer tap when I was a kid. He put a Hurst T handle on it before selling the car to me 5 years later.

Somebody start a Gofundme for OMT to buy a new wheel. If someone does, I'm in for $20.

OMT hasn't weighed in on this yet, but hopefully his insurance covers the loss.

I'd be in. I keep praying that they get the perp. I would think there would be cameras or at a minimum walking security patrolling.
