Has anyone ever tried to use the stock size power brake booster with tall valve covers in a 67-69 bird??

Honest dad, that 455 on the side of the block is a serial number

Not in a '69, but I had a set of Moroso valve covers in my '76. I'm using the same valve covers in my '69, and in the picture below you can see my clearance method:

Tools Required:

1. Big Hammer
2. Bottle of Beer

Procedure:

1. Support valvecover securely on wooden bench
2. Drink some beer
3. Hit valvecover smartly with hammer
4. Drink some beer
5. Test fit
6. Repeat as necessary

I am *NOT* running a stud girdle, but I am running a set of Crane "Silver" Roller Rockers/Adjusters, and I've never had a clearance problem.

Tall covers hit the stock power brake booster. You can give them a little ding for clearance or just let the rocking of the motor put one in for you.
I speak from experience.

NOtice how both cars don't have the hoods closed? Looking at this, I'm asking myself if the Preformer and drop down K&N will allow my 68 hood to close? So friends what is I gonna fine out, once I wedge the 455 in huh? Now don't be that way, it ain't gonna hurt to let me know in advance. I have learned enough by trying things for myself honest !! Even learned I didn't understand how come a 7/16 socket can't fit a hidden 1/2 inch nut so there !!

Now, the answer to my hood question pleaseee ????
