The jacket should be the easy part. Recreating the patches without GM's permission is another. I've sent an email to Robert McKenzie of the Judges Chambers for advice and or to see if he would be interested in this project.

Same type jacket was on Ebay 2 weeks ago for 69 TA. It was a dealer jacket given to folks for purchase of a 69 TA. I missed out on the bidding. It had the early Fbird logo on it. I'd be interested in one as that bird patch is available and can be sewn on.

Same exact jacket, orange, tan around the zippers (looked tan, could be dirt) except had a 1st gen bird on the left front side.

i was 1 of thoses idiots bidding on these jackets & lost about 5 times
i was up to $500.00 i believ & lost the bid (thank god my wife would have killed me)
the jacket really only worth $45
i own a graphics, sign & shirt business, & those jackets could be easily made,. & at bulk be cheap, with todays technology they would be even better

I REALLY WANT AN ORIGINAL FOR MY JUDGE
i would also need 1 to set up a file for reproduction, it will be returned

any bigger intrest in this just contact me

How do we get around and not get sued in regards to the emblem. I have two that I bought some time ago but you cant find them anywhere.

Could you match the round zippers and the 3M tape on the sleeve?

i will look further into the legalities a little further. MY father said we should make these aswell.
i also heard in California Car Cover cataloge they are selling judge jackets but i havnt seen them yet.
now a days anything can be reproduced.even better

Thanks SweetJudge for taking the lead on this. I just did not have the contacts you do and family issues pulled me away from taking this head on. Back when I opened this thread in August I have written emails and a couple of letters to companys to see if they would be interested and never got a reply from anyone.

I have a patch that I can and will send you if we can find out if we can copy it.

With todays technolgy ANYTHING can be copied it just depends on how close the creator wants it to the original.

can we get an ESTIMATE on how many people want these, & would they like to color code it there car.
(in a production bases quantity is key)

Then I can decide if I want 1 2 or 3 of these.

Would some very high quality pictures work with some dimensions displayed. Something that would show collar width, pocket placement, seams, etc????

Otherwise guys we need a donor jacket and mine is in a landfill and has been there since the early 70's.

NOW ive seen a few differnt versions of the jacket

(i/we) may want to come up with our own design
im in the middle of making my own judge sweat shirt Judge emblem left chest RAM AIR III on right chest big judge logo on back & 69 judge stripes down the sleeve arms (long sleeve)

I have been watching this thread. A few years ago I contacted GM licensing about making GTO magazine ads into Posters and selling them. The red tape that was sent my way was overwhelming. The barrage of paperwork and such was to scare me off and it worked. I would post something about this in the main forum and see if anyone has more experience with GM's licensing department.

I thought that GM no longer owns "the judge" name and that someone bought it. I could be wrong.
