FYI.....Long time PY customer and board member Mike Green of California has sold 1 of his 2 71 Judge convertibles for a total price of $75,000 to a collector in Arizona who already owns several rare Judges and other musclecars. This is the same Judge previously advertised on our old bb and met with some rather rude postings because of the high price.

Chris,
It was probably the free advertising and the attention that the car received on your old board that made this car so desirable to someone.

"Ha Ha" post? In Misus' case, would it be funny "ha ha" or funny "queer"? Ask Billy Bob.

$75K is a "rude" price, but considering how many of those were built (less than 10?), and how many survived, it's feasible.

I know, Ken. I was trying to keep it PG.

Larry67: I AM a professional comedian. Amongst other vocations. Please see my bio.

C'mon, Cletus Baker. I knew about the 17 Judge converts when I was 19.

Some Pontiac guy YOU turned out to be.

Go immediately home after work and reinstall the Olds 403 in that guidomobile. You don't deserve a Pontiac.

"Fewer than 10...."

Yeesh. Wotta maroon.

So it only reached $75 K. Any of you try to do a top notch concours resto on any of the round port Judges, much less a round port Judge CONVERT to this level? The buy in on round port Judges has always been higher than other same year Goats. It takes a hell of a buy in & ton of flawless used & NOS parts to to even play wannabe. Couple that with the best resto skills & many years of investigative knowledge to get the detailing PERFECT. Not an easy or cheap task...I do not believe this car was a class 0 cutting edge resto, but it was easily a #1 car. For argument sake, if the car had been a Lucerne blue, blue guts pink-orange-blue stripe 4spd instead of white auto, it would have EASILY broke the 100K mark.

Actually, I was offered much more money by subsequent bidders who failed to "Get off the pot" in time to make a deal and were hoping my sale wouldn't go through.

I'll bet you gave the phone numbers of all those big bidders to the new owner, too. Right?
