LOL let me rephrase my answer for you, When match up to a Wide Port think it needs more then a hand port match.

810hp from a 540 with 387cfm e-heads and heavily ported intake isn't all that great imo.

LOL, well that’s your opinion. For a all street 70-72 Firebird he’s a happy camper if it runs the number he wants that all that matters. All under stock hood. With AC. It’s was a joy to collaborate help in anyway to reach his goal.

Few things he don’t have, that would’ve made more power, he has small tube headers Because he couldn’t get bigger like 2” headers, in there, also has stock oil pan, and it’s definitely restricted with that Northwind a good oil pan worth close to 20-25 hp.

He’s had Health problems so hasn’t got it to the track yet, but it’s going to happen.

A 390cfm E-head will get you around 960 on a 500ish race engine FWIW....but not seeing what any of this has to do with the OP's question.

Why couldn't he get bigger headers? Quite a few companies sell 2" headers for Firebirds.

I agree we got a little off track.

Slowbird last question I’ll answer for you, his goal is to get in the 9’s on pump gas, still have a nice street cruiser. Says he’s going do it with AC..on and the Radio blasting, what song do you like I’ll ask him to play it for you and send you a video. Oh I’m just having fun with you. Hey we got laugh.

Like the one that says SBF at 120 water temp. I thought it was funny your dyno guy didn’t know it was a Pontiac, but the rest say Pontiac. Bunch of us got a good laugh. You forgot that part.

Because how a dyno sheet is labeled matters. The fact it was label like that is probably why you thought you could pass it off as yours. What kind of person post someone else's dyno sheet claiming it theirs??
