Default Identifying part manufacturer

Called today to ask about part #PS187. A rear trailing arm bushing for full size GM cars. Asked what country it was made in or who makes it. Lady told me she didn't know and no one else would know the answer either. I was curious if it is a Moog brand part, or maybe something else? Anyone know? She told me to be happy if it's made in the US, but prepare myself if it's not.

Guess I expected a different response.

Due to so many manufacturers being used, it's true that our sales representatives may not always know the origin. As I'm sure you know, a majority of reproduction items are produced overseas; this does not always mean a lack of quality. After some digging, the current stock of S140 is made in the US by GMs original manufacturer. This may not be the same 6 months from now; that will depend on what is available. Our goal will always be to provide the best quality and pricing we can find. We may see MOOG, we may see more GM. I hope this helps!

Thank you,
Kyler @ Ames
