Watch ebay. I think they're the same from 61-63 and maybe 64.

Wink bellhousing

I have an older cast iron bellhousing for a bellhousing mounted starter. Pontiac for sure. Don't know how to I.D. the year. Have no plans for it if you still need one. Also some flywheel/flexplate stuff. djtech65@hotmail.com

I just acquired a '63 bellhousing. Still needing one? This one is in good shape other than the corner at the bottom where the dust cover goes on has been chipped off.

The difference between 63 and 64 bellhousings are that 63 uses 7/16" bolts while 64's use 3/8" bolts so the 64 has smaller bolt holes.

SteveP, the bolt holes are for where the tranny mounts to the bellhousing?

Just 4 bolt holes?

Anybody have a correct part # or picture?? I have a couple of alum. bell housings with the trans mounting bolt holes clocked clockwise about one or two inches . They are up in the atttic and will get the part #'s if needed. With these bellhousings, you will need a shifter handle offset with a bend to compensate for the trans leaning a little clockwise. Sorry for my pi** poor explaination of said bellhousings All the other GM bellhousings I have ever used had the trans lined straight up in the 12:00 positiion, these two Pontiac are different, the trans bolts up clocked a little clockwise??
