Default 1966 GTO SoCal Black-Plate Complete Project

Not mine. Ran across this on Frank's Pontiac Parts website and wanted to share this one in case you're looking for a '66 GOAT.
Detailed photos link http://www.frankspontiacparts.com/bo...gtoproject.htm

"1966 GTO Project Car $8500. This is a local, Southern California Car. The body is in great condition, but is not without flaws. Please take a good look at the images below as well as the armature video. We try our best to show the good as well as the bad in the images that we provide.

This is a numbers matching GTO that comes with a clean California title."

"Here at Frank's Pontiac Parts we have been selling quality replacement body shells and project cars for a long time now. It has always been our belief that full disclosure of everything that we know is the only way to sell something.

This car was built in Pontiac Michigan and is a 48 state car, but the interesting thing is that this car was either brought in to California new or when it was only a few years old. The California black plates (WST 001) date pre 1970 and are sequentially 1967-68 or really old vanity plates, it's a puzzler. I would consider this car an original California car. Like most cars from our region it has a great condition frame and nice floors with typical rust in the lower rear window track and trunk floor as well as the lower windshield track and upper dash panel. The car is very complete with most parts in great condition and just in need of some restoration. Options include numbers matching 389 4brl engine with automatic transmission, air conditioning, remote mirror and AM/FM radio with reverb.

Engine Codes:

1) 389 YS Code Block #9778789 DC D216 (April 21 1966)
2) Heads #093 DC D156 & D156 (April 15 1966)
3) Distributor #1111078 DC 6D18 (April 18 1966)
4) Carburetor #4034S C6

We did get the car running but we seem to be having trouble getting it to idle so it will not be running and driving for transport and will be sold as is without the battery. The brakes are not working, but the parking brake seems to hold this GTO fine and it rolls and steers fine for transport.

A bill of sale and clean California title will be supplied to the buyer.
