Default 1967 sprint questions

I just purchased a 1967 Le Mans sprint with no motor no trans. Was going to put in a v-8 figuring it would be easier to find . But I found a sprint 6 complete running from a firebird with a stick trans and radiator. The car has the frame mounts, exhaust and z-bar. Will I have to change alot of parts to make it work? Just new to the sprint thing. Thanks Bluegoose

should be easy..especially if the 6 has its engine side mounts still. The frame mounts will be a bit different but easily had.
sprints are way cool. Im trying to get a convertible sprint myself

Default engine

Just Remember to take lots of pics of the Firebird so when it's going into the Lemans it looks the same as it did in the Firebird. Take your time & pay attention to where things are comng from & then put them back in the same way & you should be ok. We learned the same way your going to know, by DOING. Rex.

If the car was a OHC model and never had any changes/mod's then it should be a straight forward install.

As stated you will need the A-Body engine mounts (shown below)
as well as the OHC engine frame brackets.

The F-Body mounts & Brackets are diff.

IIRC the Z is also diff for the A-Body.

Best of luck.

throttle cable and bracket are different too
if the Sprint motor is a 68 you will have trouble with fan clearance
(Ask how I know )
also radiator is different so just buy a new one
I would go with a 3 core to make sure it stays cool
where are you located?

Default sprint

Why does the fan not fit? Do I need different water pump or the fan itself ? The Le Mans has some of the parts in the trunk.

68-9 used a spacer for fan because of larger balancer.
this is very close to bottom of radiator when used in 66-7 body
Firebirds and 68 and newer A bodys had plenty of room
my fix was to have the 67 balancer bored and cut to fit the 250 crank
