Just a regular Offy dual quad intake with a pair of cross ram adapters.

I don’t understand the point of the adapters myself from a performance standpoint, to make it look different or exotic I guess.

Not to mention a carb linkage nightmare.

Pictured below is a Dodge 413 wedge with long ram cross-ram induction, the long runners produced tons of mid-range torque. Imagine being a dealer mechanic and having to service or repair one of these complicated engines. Valve cover removal anyone?

Thanks for the info. I also noticed they had ground off the head casting # and replaced it with a 6x. The heads have been ported. Maybe running a class with no mods allowed? Wanted to trick tech into thinking heads were a smog era head?

Looking at the date code stamp on those heads they are likely 1971 # 96 castings off a 400, that is if they have screw in rocker studs.

There's a Nick's Garage episode where he dynoes a 426 wedge with Cross Ram. There was different cross rams too. One had the runners separated most of the length of the tube and another separated only the last foot. He was impressed with the low end and mid range torque they created.

Unfortunately there’s nothing about those adapters that would make that intake into anything resembling a properly designed cross ram.

Just unequal fuel distribution, the rear adapter goes down hill and the front one goes uphill which looks like a good place for a fuel puddle to form.

Awful design in my opinion. That dual quad intake is a nice one when used as it was first designed. I’d sell the adapters to a hot rodder who wants the bling factor.

A lot of so-called ‘speed equipment’ is not produced because it will enhance performance it’s produced solely to make a profit, performance be damned.

Never seen one before and I think there is a reason for that. If they ran good you would have seen more.
I can not imagine it working well. Wall Art.

Pure eye candy!
B man is going easy On how bad those carb mounting extenders where!
The only thing ok about that set up is since it’s plumbed into a decent intake it’s got one side of the
Motor balanced to each other unlike the much taller Micky Thompson cross Ram that we have all seen that needs a balance tube badly.

Most all the folks who own those M/T Pontiac cross rams let them sit on the shelf.

Same with the guys who have spent big dollars to have them converted to the ‘65 and up water crossover and add the balance tube, they’re letting them collect dust.

Any decent modern single 4-barrel manifold will out-power them, all without the funky carb linkage and inability to run them with the ‘65 and later heads without extensive mods headaches.

It looks neat but doesn’t run, so what’s the point?

Want a functional dual-quad setup with major WOW factor?

Throw down 2.5k for one of the new reproduction Super Duty Bathtub intakes before they’re out of production.
