I had a great time in 2009. It's a long ways away, but I will try to make it again.

I have NO DOUBT that with Doug, Paul and the Fast Boys being involved with the event planning for the '13 convention this will be an OUTSTANDING EVENT!

That being said, YOU ALL should attend the '12 convention at Pheasant Run to have a great time and learn more about the upcoming Dayton event!

Thumbs up Dayton Co-Vention 2013

Sharren and I (at least I am) can't wait to drive the GTO to Dayton, mount the slicks, knock out some 11s, and drive it home (don't need a trailer for a car this slow )

Wow!

That's great news!
The last Co-Vention was the one and only big Pontiac event I ever attendend and it was awesome! Had a blast there!
If I can make it his time around I'll have more time to plan a route and meet folks.

I just hope the dollar/euro exchange rate will be better than it is at the moment...(pretty much down the drain right now)...

Erik

The Hampton is the closest this is where I stayed last time and it was a great place especially with a nice breakfast each morning they provide, I am in there again for 2013.

Next to it about a 1/2 to 1 block away is the Holiday Inn. Both are a short walk to the Nutter Center. Can't go wrong with either Hotel.

Well actually the Red Roof Inn is the closest, it is directly accross the street. No Pool, rooms aren't the best, the price is right though! I think they have erradicated the bed bugs completely by now.

He asked for Hotels NOT dives ............ LOLOLOL.

Actually I don't recall the Red Roof (probably will once I am there again) maybe I was watching oncoming traffic? I dunno. They are all within a stones throw of each other.

According to the Hotel listing and rate sheet I have, the Red Roof is only 64.99 per night (73.11 including tax and surcharges). At that rate I'd call like NOW to reserve it according to this sheet they only have 50 rooms blocked for this event ...great price. 937. 426.6116

Never been to one of these, but here's my chance! Questions I have:

Can I book a room now even though the convention rates don't start till 7/23?
Are there events every day so that I'll need to be there the 9th - 13th?

Any advice appreciated but I WILL attend!

I am sure one of the hosting clubs can answer in more depth than I can but to anwer your questions:
1. Yes you can book a room now for the co-vention rate. The Hampton is taking reservations now but the Holiday Inn isn't until after August 1 I was told when I called them. The other hotels I don't know.

2. There are usually and always events scheduled on days leading up to this event. One this time around I am told is the tour of the Air Force Museum which is a large draw.

3. You can attend any day(s) you wish. Once registered you are good to go. If you are entering a concours car they have a deadline they must be there I don't know what day it is but I'd guess Wednesday or so that week. Pop vote cars may have assigned spots like last time but don't quote me on this.

Last time it was stated they had over 1200 cars on hand so it would be in your best interest to book a room asap as most motels are only booking x amount of rooms at the discount rate.

Thanks, all great info! I'll probably give the concours class a shot, and will plan on staying the entire convention.

Prez of the Susq Valley club? Dont I remember seeing you guys at the Jackson Outlet Village cruises, last Friday of the month in Jackson, NJ?
