Can anyone tell me what is the factory adhesive they used to glue the under hood frame to the outer shell. The globs of glue on mine are dried and separated.

I believe the factory used a seam sealer here. Same type of material used to seal the plugs on the floor of the trunk. 3M sells excellent products but expensive. These sealers come in a few colors. Here is what Amazon sells; https://www.amazon.com/3M-Urethane-S...007NIQONO?th=1

Lord Fusor® 121/124 Flexible Foam would be the product to fill the gap between the skin and brace. Stays flexible and allows the skin to move when it expands and contracts.

But, it's kind of stupid expensive, and requires a special gun to apply it (about $60). I recently used it on my hood. After curing it sure seemed to be extremely similar in behavior to the urethane seam sealer. I used it under the hood because of the temperatures and fumes in that location. Not sure I would use it again considering the price ... I still have to do my deck lid.

Big Bear ... do you know if the Lord Fusor product will work in the the 3M gun? (3M Manual Cartridge Applicator, 08571)

Dont know if the gun will work on both products. There is only about $6 between the two products and 3M is a good product. Wouldnt change brand and chance the gun not working if I already have the 3M gun.

Annoys me that the 3M product is not expanding (like OEM obviously was), so the product does not go far at all and doesn't look the same without the "puffy" globs in the gaps.
