Looking to install a mini starter on my 1969 gto with points ignition. Question is will I have to install a diode some where on the factory wiring to prevent back feeding or is this a non issue thanks.

I don't think you need to do anything special.

I put one on my 68 just a few months ago. The only thing involved was snipping the ring terminal off of the factory starter wire and replacing it with their plug in terminal.
Oh, and you will love the weight reduction.

I didn't make that completely clear, mine is the IMI version and l meant by cutting the starter wire, the 'S' wire from the ignition switch. They include a plug for that wire.

Can you access the block drain plug with the mini starter installed? No can-do with the factory unit.
